What level of membership is right for me?
There are four ACTA Membership levels: Platinum Gold, Silver and Bronze. The cost of membership varies according to the level, as do the benefits and priority advantages.

To determine an appropriate membership level you must first consider the benefits that best match your business requirements. 

The level of information you require will vary according to the size of your business, key target markets and requirement for sales leads and marketing intelligence.

What type of businesses/organisations are a members of the Adelaide Convention Tourism Authority?
Current members of ACTA represent a diverse range of business events and incentive product and include accommodation providers, event and conference organisers, attractions, retailers, restaurants, printers, tour operators, airlines and other travel and transport service providers.

ACTA creates new business opportunities for its members, introducing them to the lucrative conventions, meetings, exhibitions and incentive travel markets. If the Business Events industry is important to the success of your business, you should consider ACTA membership.

Are membership fees calculated on the calendar year or financial year?
ACTA membership fees are calculated from one financial year to the next. If you join as a new member part way through the financial year you may be eligible to have your fees calculated on a pro-rata basis. Please ask the Membership Manager for details. Ph: 08 8303 2333

What information is contained within the ACTA Marketing Directory? How do I obtain a copy?
The ACTA Marketing Directory is a confidential list of all known forthcoming conventions, meetings and events in South Australia. The directory is an important source of new business leads for the Business Events Industry. The Marketing Directory is available to our Silver, Gold and Platinum members. Silver members are supplied with a copy of this directory on an annual basis; Gold members receive quarterly updates; and Platinum members receive additional updates on a monthly basis.

What are the main benefits gained by upgrading from a Bronze membership to a Silver membership?
Silver level membership provides you with the following additional benefits over Bronze:

  • Business Leads automatically e-mailed to you every fortnight
  • Receipt of the Marketing Directory published Yearly
  • A 40-word listing in the Member Services Directory
  • Priority over Bronze members for marketing and promotional opportunities

What are the main benefits gained by upgrading from a Silver membership to Gold membership?
Gold level membership provides you with the following additional benefits over Silver:

  • Business Leads automatically e-mailed to you on a weekly basis
  • Receipt of quarterly updates along with the yearly publication of the Marketing Directory
  • A 60-word listing in the Member Services Directory + Logo
  • Two people in your organisation are invited to attend Business Hours free of charge
  • Invitation to Platinum & Gold member meetings
  • Priority over Silver and Bronze members for marketing and promotional opportunities

What are the main benefits gained by upgrading from a Gold membership to Platinum membership?
Platinum level membership provides you with the following additional benefits over Gold:

  • Business Leads automatically e-mailed to you on a daily basis
  • Receipt of updates of the Marketing Directory each month 
  • A 90-word description in the Member Services Directory + Logo
  • First priority for familiarisation and bidding program
  • Invitation to attend Platinum and Gold Member Meetings
  • Invitation for CEO/GM to attend the Platinum Forum Lunch held twice a year


What do I do once I have joined ACTA as a new member?

ACTA works to create new business opportunities for its members, providing introductions to lucrative conventions, meetings, exhibitions and incentive travel markets. 

To maximise the benefits of you membership it is important to be pro-active and utilise the full range of services, information and advice that is available through ACTA. Following are a few hints on how to ensure your company gets the best benefit:

  • Meet with ACTA's Membership Manager to discuss your business and highlight your expectations.

  • Book a presentation to the ACTA staff to ensure your product/service will be at the forefront of all business opportunities.

  • Host an ACTA function to showcase your venue to Event and Convention organisers

  • Attend regular membership functions such as business hours, and seminars. Use these opportunities to build relationships with a diverse group of ACTA members

  • Promote your business though a direct mail campaign to members using the member database 

  • Be pro-active and follow up on your business leads

  • Promote your business to the contacts within the ACTA Marketing Directory

  • Participate in co-operative marketing and advertising campaigns, familiarisation programs and trade shows.

  • Ensure that your website is hyperlinked to the ACTA website

  • Ensure that ACTA is kept up-to-date with any changes to your business profile 

Will my product or service be promoted in an ACTA bid document?
Every bid document is unique and is specifically designed to meet the needs of the client. If your product matches the required criteria we will endeavour to include your details in the corresponding bid document. First priority is always given to our Platinum and Gold members.

Can I use the ACTA logo on my letterhead and materials?
Members may use the ACTA brand to promote their alignment with the Authority, through approved use of ACTA's distinctive logo in marketing and advertising. Members may also display the ACTA decal at their business address.
